Ministerial Order no. 280/2022, of 18 November, was published, which increases the value of the meal allowance for public administration workers, as follows: a) Increases from € 4.77 to € 5.20, when paid in cash; b) Increases from € 7.63 to € 8.32, when paid through meal vouchers/cards.

Although the State Budget had foreseen that this value would be due as of January 2023, the truth is that the diploma establishes that the update of this subsidy takes effect on 1 October 2022. The values of € 4.77 and € 7.63 had not been revised since 2017.
