The Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (the "Regulation") entered into force on 1 August 2024, although some of its obligations only became applicable from 2 February 2025. These include the prohibition of certain Artificial Intelligence (AI) practices and the implementation of specific AI literacy requirements for providers and entities responsible for deploying AI systems. It is important to note that the Regulation will be gradually implemented, with all obligations coming into effect by 2027.
