On 10 May 2022 the already announced Judgement of the Supreme Court of Justice no. 4/2022 was published in the Official Gazette with a view to standardising jurisprudence in respect of Local Lodging in residential buildings.
Since then, we have already been able to observe some of the effects immediately foreseen, with a new point of discussion in condominium meetings on the practice of local accommodation (AL) in buildings for residential purposes becoming customary.
It is estimated that this decision will have a direct impact on 60% of the local accommodation market, with primacy in urban areas.
